These are practical guides, not substitutes for the final written quotation or terms agreed for your particular job.
How is a removal quote calculated?
We consider volume, distance, access, parking, the vehicles and crew required, handling time, packing, dismantling and any specialist items.
Can I request a quote from photos or video?
Yes. Clear photographs or a slow walkthrough video can help us assess both contents and access.
What should my walkthrough show?
Start with parking and access, then show every room, cupboards, lofts, sheds, garages and any garden belongings that are included.
What kinds of clearance items cost extra?
Appliances, mattresses, upholstered furniture, tyres, paint, chemicals and restricted materials may involve different handling and disposal fees.
Can I arrange a property clearance without being there?
Often, if access and written keep/remove instructions are agreed. Authority to deal with the property and contents must also be clear.
Do you offer packing materials or packing help?
Packing assistance and materials can be discussed as part of a removal quote.
How do I pay?
The payment method and timing will be confirmed in your written quotation. Ask if you need to pay by card.
How much notice do you need?
Early enquiries give the best choice of dates. Urgent and short-notice jobs may be possible depending on crew and vehicle availability.
Can I change my booking date?
Contact us as soon as possible. Rescheduling depends on the original booking terms and availability.
Are estimates final?
No. Online enquiries are not binding prices. We confirm a written scope and price after checking the property and requirements.
Which locations does OnRoad cover?
We are Somerset-based, serving Taunton, Bridgwater, Bristol, Bath, Exeter and other parts of the South West, plus longer-distance removals.
What happens to items suitable for reuse?
Any reuse, donation or resale arrangements need to be discussed and agreed in advance. We will not assume ownership of estate property.
